Artificial Grass in Lincoln

Artificial lawns

Artificial grass on a proper base

Cheap artificial grass fails because of what is under it. We dig out the old lawn, lay a compacted, free-draining base and fix the joins so you never see them.

Dug-out, compacted base

We lift the old turf, lay crushed stone and a fine dust layer, then compact it flat.

Drains like a real lawn

A permeable base and backing, so rain drains through and it hoses clean.

Cut to any shape

Curved lawns, borders and stepping stone paths, cut in on site.

Hidden joins and edges

Seams glued on jointing tape and edges pinned to timber or composite edging.

An artificial lawn that looks like a lawn

Better grasses mix several blade colours and have a brown thatch at the base. That is what stops them looking like a carpet. We help you choose one that suits how you use the garden, whether that is children, dogs or just sitting out.

We cut artificial grass to any shape, so a curved lawn or a stepping stone path is no harder than a rectangle.

Small gardens and shady corners

Artificial grass earns its keep where real grass struggles: small courtyards, shady corners under trees and lawns that turn to mud every winter. It stays green and usable all year with a brush and the odd rinse.

We use a shorter, denser grass where the lawn gets the most wear, such as the route to the shed or a play corner, and a softer pile where you sit. Both are joined so you cannot see where one stops.

What you can count on

Three promises we make to every customer, written into every quote.

A fixed quote, in writing

The price we give you after the 3D design is the price you pay. If we find something underground that nobody could have seen, we stop, show you, and agree any change before we carry on.

A tidy site, every day

We protect your drive and lawn, keep materials stacked in one place and sweep up before we leave each evening.

Owen on every job

Our founder visits every site during the build as well as at the quote. If something needs deciding, you are talking to the person who can decide it.

They dug out the whole back garden and had the patio, lawn and lighting finished in four weeks. The 3D drawing meant there were no surprises. It looks exactly like the drawing.

FAQs

Artificial Grass questions

If your question is not here, call us on 01632 960418.

Ask us a question
How long does artificial grass last?

A good artificial lawn on a proper base should last 10 to 15 years. The base matters as much as the grass, which is why we always dig out and compact it.

Is artificial grass all right for dogs?

Yes. The base and backing are permeable, so liquid drains through, and you pick up anything else as normal. A rinse with the hose now and then keeps it fresh.

Does artificial grass get hot in summer?

It can get warm in direct sun on hot days, much like paving. A quick spray of water cools it down. Some grasses are made to stay cooler, and we can show you those.

Can you lay artificial grass on concrete or an old patio?

We can, using a foam underlay for cushioning and drainage holes where water would otherwise sit. On soil we always dig out and lay a proper base instead.

Will artificial grass look fake?

Not if you choose a good one and lay it properly. Mixed blade colours, a brown thatch at the base and hidden joins make it read as a lawn from the house. We bring samples to the design visit so you can see them in your own garden.
